Rui Maia Rego holds a PhD in Philosophy from the School of Arts and Humanities of the University of Lisbon (2023) and was awarded a doctoral scholarship from the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) for his thesis: “Altruism and Practical Rationality in the Philosophy of Thomas Nagel”. He is currently a member of the Center of Philosophy of the University of Lisbon and at the Universidade Aberta. He is currently an invited professor of political sciences and a postdoctoral researcher at the Center for Global Studies (CEG-UAb) at the Universidade Aberta. At this university, he teaches several courses and coordinates the Memory and Heritage research line at CEG-UAb.
